Planit aiming to take on 90 extra consultants

Sydney, Australia – 20 January 2006: Planit is planning to take on 90 extra consultants in 2006. The specialist for software quality management and testing, is taking this step in response to the significant increase in demand for software management and testing experts.
The extra consultants will boost Planit’s existing team and is in line with last year’s recruitment of around the same number of consultants. About 50 are expected to be employed in Melbourne, with the remainder working in Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane.
Planit is seeking new employees with the right profile to be able to provide the services where demand is strongest. These are primarily test management, test team leadership, test automation, delivery management, project management and offshore quality assurance areas. The company is also looking for consultants for software quality assurance where formal risk management processes are the services in greatest demand – particularly in the telco, utilities and finance industries.

Software testing certification service launched – ‘learntesting’

Learntesting is the online version of the ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing and offers a quality, cost-effective alternative for organisations or individuals who are unable to attend classroom based training.
Planit’s Managing Director Chris Carter says there is increased recognition of the importance of software quality, reliability and security, especially with so many project and cost overruns, and poor quality business systems.

Single international certification syllabus for software testers leads to increased demand

Peter Bingham, Director of Corporate Products & International Development, from the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) will be the key-note speaker at Planit’s March Testing Forum events.
Mr Bingham will be outlining how and why a single international syllabus and certification for software testing professionals has been developed by the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), the Information Systems Examinations Board (ISEB), a German certification and accreditation body, ASQF, and other national boards in January 2004. The partnership establishes a common international standard of examinations at foundation, advanced (practitioner) and expert levels.

Planit announces new divisional appointments in testing services and training

Planit Introduces Radical Pricing Changes to T-Plan

The new subscription based acquisition model for T-Plan now offers a cost effective solution which will contribute significantly towards quality deliverables whilst keeping expenditure at an affordable & appropriate level.”
