The Planit Software Testing Index reports on software testing best practice across
Australian and New Zealand.

It provides valuable benchmark information on testing, so IT staff can better research, plan, budget and execute their testing strategies to effect more successful project implementations.

Now in its third year, the Index shows how the industry is changing, where future challenges lie and what factors are influencing it.

In 2009, organisations in Australia and New Zealand approached the global economic downturn cautiously, cutting budgets, technology resources and the size of IT projects. Many took this defensive stance further, focusing efforts on the
upgrade of core systems to protect core business activities.

As confidence returns in FY 2010, it will be interesting to see if organisations strike out for a strategic advantage with new investment in technology and systems.
